The Denison University Suzuki Program, the community extension music program offered by Denison University, will hold an information meeting for those who are interested in learning more about the program.
Suzuki instruction is offered in cello, flute, piano, violin, and viola. The program is appropriate for and welcomes students of all ages, through high school and adult.
The Suzuki Method is a way of teaching music to children developed by Shinichi Suzuki who believed in fostering the potential in every young person. Just as all children develop the ability to speak their mother tongue, Suzuki believed that any child who is properly trained can develop musical ability and other life-long skills with the help of a skilled and caring teacher and his or her parent.
The program currently has openings for the upcoming semester.
To register for the information meeting or for further information, please contact Jim Van Reeth, director of the Denison University Suzuki Program at 740-975-4644 or vanreethj@denison.edu.
