Refugee Awareness Week Panel Discussion with Maya Arakon, Özden Ocak and Charles Édouard St. Georges

As part of Refugee Awareness Week, Denison University presents a panel:

• • 4:30 p.m.: Maya Arakon will be talking about her personal experience as a political exile from Turkey and the effects of displacement.

  • 5:30 p.m.: professors Özden Ocak and Charles Édouard St. Georges from the International Studies and Modern Languages Department will offer a critical perspective on the historical background and implications of the European refugee crisis and the US economic and military intervention in Mexico and Latin America.
