Modern Day Blacksmithing and Metal Sculpture

"Modern Day Blacksmithing and Metal Sculpture"- presented by Ben Beckett. Ben is a metal sculptor and blacksmith, originally from Kentucky, who has recently found Central Ohio as his new home. His presentation will catalog his journey from receiving his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Metal Sculpture, fine tuning his trade in blacksmithing through experiences locally and abroad, to his work with renowned equestrian sculptress Gwen Reardon.  In addition to describing his development in life as a visual artist, Ben will share images of his work and what being a blacksmith,in modern days, entails.
