The Denison University Department of Economics welcomes Ellen Brown presenting "The Public Bank Alternative: Recapturing the Money Power" at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 30, in the auditorium of Higley Hall (100 Ridge Road). The lecture is free and open to the public. For more information, contact Fadhel Kaboub at 740-587-6315 or visit Denison.edu. Brown is an attorney, founder and president of the Public Banking Institute, a Research Scholar at the Binzagr Institute for Sustainable Prosperity, and the author of 12 books and more than 200 articles. In "Web of Debt," she showed how a private banking cartel has usurped the power to create money from the people themselves, and how we the people can get it back. In "The Public Bank Solution," she traces the evolution of two banking models that have competed historically, public and private; and explores contemporary public banking systems globally.
