The Denison Department of Psychology welcomes Dr. Maureen Craig presenting a lecture, titled "Towards a 'Majority-minority' Nation: Understanding Political Attitudes & Intergroup Relations in the 21st Century," at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 15, in the auditorium of Higley Hall (100 Ridge Road). The lecture is free and open to the public. For more information, contact Jill Uland at 740-587-6338 or visit Denison.edu. Recent Census Bureau projections indicate that racial minorities will comprise more than 50 percent of the U.S. population by mid-century, effectively creating a so-called "majority-minority" nation. Craig will explore several implications of this demographic shift for individuals political and social attitudes.
