The Department of Art History and Visual Culture and the Department of Studio Art welcome Nannette Maciejunes ’75, executive director of the Columbus Museum of Art, presenting “Thriving in the Changing World of 21st Century Museums” at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 8, in Room 305 of the Bryant Arts Center (210 West College Street). In her talk, Maciejunes will discuss how the culture of art museums, and their relationship to the community, has changed in the last several decades. In particular, she will explore how the professional practice of art museums has been completely transformed as museums become more visitor-centered. Maciejunes will also discuss the arc of her career and how roles of museum staffers, across departments, have drastically evolved from the past.
