Denison University presents the annual Taste of Culture festival at 4 p.m. on Friday, April 29, at the Academic Quadrangle (200 Ridge Road). This event is free and open to the public. For more information, contact Ginny Sharkey at 740-587-6266 or visit Denison.edu. Now in its third year, the Taste of Culture event was first envisioned by Zhihao Cao '16 and began as an effort of the Global China Connection organization. "Zhihao wanted it to be a space where members of both multi-cultural and non-cultural organizations could come together", explains last year's Taste of Culture logistics chair Edith Keme '17. More than a dozen campus organizations, ranging from cultural organizations to performance groups, come together to plan and promote the Taste of Culture. The impressive participation by students and faculty in past years has been credited to creative promotion of the event, the high quality of delicious international food, and especially the opportunity for Denison students to celebrate their individual and collective identities all together in one place.
