Denison: 'Margo Veil: an entertainment'

Denison University Theatre closes its 85th Subscription Season with "Margo Veil: an entertainment" by Len Jenkin. The play will open at 8 p.m. on Friday, April 15, in Ace Morgan Theatre (211 West College Street), and continue on Saturday, April 16, at 8 p.m., Sunday, April 17, at 2 p.m., then Wednesday through Saturday, April 20 to 23 at 8 p.m. Tickets are $8 for general admission, $5 for senior citizens, and $4 for students. Jenkin bends time and space as Margo Veil goes from New York City to Rapid City, Mexico, Indianapolis and Lithuania, encountering a bevy of strange, ominous and wacky characters. Having bombed-out on Broadway, Margo only wants to go home; but her journey becomes one surprise after another. The plot is non-linear, and the stories change as the actors assume new personas. There are even body transfers, so three actors get to play Margo. An old-time radio show, film noir, sci-fi and B-movie feel add to this fantastical trip.
