The Sustainability Documentary and Dinner Film Series presents a screening of "LOCAL," a documentary about the rise of the local food movement. In the past ten years, the organic food industry has become big business and consumers have been left wondering exactly what the word "organic" means and how they can really know what they're eating. With the rise of farmer's markets and more chefs sourcing their ingredients from local farms, consumers are now able to meet and talk to the people who are growing their food. Sponsored by the Denison Sustainability Fellows and the Office of Sustainability, the film series is open to members of the community who are interested in environmental and social issues. Participants are invited to dine in the President's Room in Huffman Hall beginning at 5 p.m. The film screening will start at 5:30 p.m. The first 30 people to arrive receive a free dinner.
