The Global Studies Seminar welcomes Joanna Grabski, professor of art history and visual culture, and Sandra Mathern, professor of dance, presenting "Interdisciplinary Collaboration and Learning about Globalization in Sri Lanka." Professors Mathern and Grabski will discuss their recent travel seminar to Sri Lanka. They will address students' off campus learning in globalizing urban and rural environments, improvisation as a pedagogical orientation and an interpretive lens, and the travel seminar's relationship to Denison's global initiatives and interdisciplinary collaboration in the arts. Denison University's Global Studies Seminars are interdisciplinary intellectual forums to discuss and debate academic and policy issues of global importance.
