Concert on the Green: Hillbilly Idol (Bluegrass)

Like missionaries of Country Music, Hillbilly Idol loves to spread the gospel of Hank, Bill, George, Lefty, and Merle. Hillbilly Idol reaches back to embrace the traditions of bluegrass, western swing, and honky tonk, and brings them forward to “water the roots” of those traditions today.  The band has produced three critically acclaimed CDs including “Town and Country”, “Hillbilly Idol”, and “Lights of Town”.  It might not be your Grandpa’s country music, but he’d probably approve!

FREE performances on Denison University’s Fine Arts Quad, 338 West Broadway, Granville (if rain – held in Burke Hall). Concerts will start at 6:30PM and will be a 90 minute set with no intermission. Bring your lawn chairs, blankets and picnics. Vehicles parked in the driveway leading to Burke Hall are subject to ticketing and/or towing. Performances may not be taped without the explicit permission of the artists.
