Dr. Goodell will discuss the ecology and conservation of Ohio’s native bees through various projects in her lab including: developing bee habitat on reclaimed mines, the impact of pesticides on wild bees, and the first survey of Ohio’s native bees. Through the lens of these research efforts she will communicate the importance of native bees as pollinators and why conserving their diversity matters.
