'A Tribute to Peter Rowan'

The American Roots and Bluegrass Ensemble present “A Tribute to Peter Rowan”. In preparation for his visit to Denison in February for the Bluegrass Festival, the American Roots Ensemble has been working on a set of music inspired by Peter Rowan. The concert will feature a cross-section of music spanning from Rowan’s days with Bill Monroe, Muleskinner, Earth Opera, Old and In The Way to more modern sounds of Crucial Country, The Peter Rowan & Tony Rice Quartet and his more recent original work.

We hope you will join us for this tribute show on Friday, Dec. 2, and then come back on Friday, Feb. 17, to see him in person for the 50th Anniversary celebration of Muleskinner Live. For this very special performance, Peter Rowan will be joining Appalachian Swing (Adam Schlenker, Hayes Griffin, Todd Sams, George Welling, Chase Potter) to perform music from the iconic live recording as well as the super group’s studio album.
