The 40th Annual Utica Old Fashioned Ice Cream Festival, held during Memorial Day weekend, marks the beginning of summer in Ohio and is a celebration of Velvet Ice Cream's 100th Anniversary. From the kick-off parade featuring free ice cream novelties to ice cream eating contests and tours of the Velvet Ice Cream factory, visitors can indulge their appetites for this all American treat. In addition to enjoying an ice cream cone, visitors can shop the more than 90 arts and crafts booths, delight in magic shows, partake in other delicious foods, watch live musical performances, or compete in contests such as the wheelbarrow race and water balloon toss.
